History
Stronghold Preservation started trading
under the name of 'Ulster Damp Proofing'.
The company was started as a specialist damp proofing company by
Seamus & Eileen Marshall in 1985, initially as a franchise of
British Damp Proofing and then as an independent company, with
their sons Paul and Peter subsequently joining the company. As the
company diversified it adopted the acronym 'UDPG' -
Ulster Damp Proofing Group.
In 2013 the company was re-branded to become 'Stronghold
Preservation' to better reflect the wide range of services
carried out; and to position the company firmly in its target
market of the restoration of historic buildings and structures.
As the company has progressed, it has expanded to include a
wide range of structural repair and restoration services for listed
and historic buildings and structures, and also specialises in new
build basement waterproofing.
During 25+ unbroken years in trading, the company has issued and
honoured workmanship guarantees up to 20 years in length.
