Cashel City Walls, Co. Tipperary

Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland
As an important archaeological and historical monument, the walls required structural repair and stabilisation due to movement and inappropriate maintenance works over the years. Phase 1 was awarded to Braldi Ltd who employed Stronghold Preservation to carry out the installation of Cintec ties to prevent delamination and to strengthen the wall, along with vertical 4m Cintec anchors to stabilise horizontal cracks. Stronghold Preservation also carried out low pressure grouting of voids within the wall using a NHL grout.
