St Mary's Church of Ireland, Drumbanagher

This beautiful old church, built around 1840, had been suffering from a bird infestation. Birds had accessed the church tower and were nesting and roosting; this is not only a nuisance, but in an enclosed space, dried bird droppings can also create health problems. Stronghold Preservation were requested to design and install a system which would deter the nuisance birds, in this case, ravens.

Stronghold designed a full bird control system: bird netting to 8 no. louvre opening windows, to prevent birds from accessing the tower, and bird spikes to ledges to prevent birds from landing on decorative stonework on the church.
